Recipe 1: Vegan Tofu Smoothie
Yes you read that correctly - you can have tofu in a smoothie! Say goodbye to tasteless and over priced protein powders. All you need is a little silken tofu and 2 minutes and you have a meal on the go that supports muscle recovery and growth
Frozen mixed berries: 1 cup
Silken Tofu: 1/4 cup
Banana: 1 medium Banana
Apple juice: 1/2 cup
Blend and serve!
Recipe 2: Vegan Tofu Chocolate Mousse
Now this is getting interesting! You can actually turn that tofu terror into chocolatey OMG so good mousse?! Are you serious! You have to to give this one a try!
Dark Chocolate: 100g (vegan and at least 70% Cocoa)
Silken Tofu: 270g at room temperature drained
Maple Syrup: 2 TBS
Melt the chocolate for 20-30 seconds in the microwave or on a few low heat - stirring until melted. Blend the tofu and maple syrup in a blender/food processor until it reaches the smoothest consistency possible. Fold in the chocolate and refrigerate for 30 minutes - so good!Top with berries or cacao nibs for a little extra treat
Recipe 3: Easy Baked Ginger Sesame Tofu Recipe
This recipe just hits the spot for an easy vegan tofu recipe! Make sure you purchase the firm tofu and press out as much liquid as possible prior to use!
Firm Tofu: 1 x 450gram block cut into 8 even slices and pressed
Soy Sauce : 2 TBS
Agave: 2 TBS
Toasted sesame oil: 1 TBS
Minced ginger or freshly crushed!) : 1 TSP
Minced garlic: 1 TSP
Sesame seeds: 1 TBS
Preheat oven to 175degrees C. Lightly oil a large baking sheet and arrange tofu on it evenly spaced. Whisk all remaining ingredients and brush with marinade - bake for 30 minutes then flip and brush the other side. Keep baking until crispy - ! YUM
